In a rapidly evolving market, Alia Servizi Ambientali made the strategic decision to redesign the identity of its OnDemand service, dedicated to the free home collection of bulky or special waste.

The challenge was twofold: on one hand, to strengthen the brand identity of the service by making it more recognizable and citizen-friendly; on the other, to develop an integrated communication system capable of ensuring clarity, accessibility, and a consistent user experience across all touchpoints—from printed flyers to the mobile app interface.
What we do
The Project
The goal was to build a solid and accessible service identity that would facilitate interaction between citizens and public services, improve perceived efficiency, and boost adoption of the OnDemand waste collection service.

Additionally, the project aimed to promote responsible waste sorting behaviors, while reinforcing Alia’s positioning as an innovative public utility committed to sustainability and local community engagement.

The Solution
At Jam Area, we completely redesigned the visual identity of the OnDemand service, starting from the creation of a new logo and a supporting graphic system.
The visual mark was conceived to convey simplicity, clarity, and proximity, using an accessible and modular design language. We defined a clean, distinctive color palette to differentiate between waste categories and designed a flexible, consistent visual system adaptable across all communication channels.

THE MATERIALS
The identity system was implemented across all key touchpoints, ensuring a coherent and inclusive brand experience:

- Printed materials distributed in local municipalities
- Informational panels inside public service stores
- Branded assets for social media and digital platforms
- UI and UX design for the mobile app interface
- Content for institutional and public communication

This approach allowed us to build an integrated and user-friendly experience, easily recognizable by all types of users.

The result
The new brand identity system made the OnDemand service more visible, accessible, and citizen-oriented. The intervention significantly improved public perception and usability, increasing service adoption and enhancing the effectiveness of waste management awareness campaigns.

CONCLUSION
This project became a strategic communication tool for Alia, supporting the promotion of responsible waste disposal habits, improving urban cleanliness, and strengthening the relationship between public institutions and local communities. It represents a step forward toward a clearer, more effective and territory-focused environmental communication strategy.
