Lab24 was born from the desire to transform a passion into a concrete project. A branding journey that blends local identity and innovation, shaping an authentic and recognizable brand ready to grow within the world of Italian craft beer.

The Project
Lab24 is a craft microbrewery based in Cannobio, on Lake Maggiore, founded by brothers Roberto and Massimo. The project was born with the goal of enhancing the local territory through an authentic, high-quality craft beer made using water from the historic Fonte Carlina. The challenge was to transform a passion into a recognizable brand, with an identity capable of standing out in the highly competitive world of independent craft beer.


Goal
The goal of the project was to create a solid and distinctive brand identity capable of conveying the deep connection with the territory and the experimental philosophy of the brewery. A visual identity designed to speak to a contemporary audience, expressing quality, craftsmanship, and a strong brand personality.

JAM AREA supported Lab24 from the very beginning, developing a coherent and distinctive visual identity capable of conveying the brand’s philosophy and its local roots.



Solution
The project included the definition of the design system, the selection of the color palette, the typography, and the development of the first three labels — Giove, Leone, and Orrido — each inspired by the territory and its natural suggestions.
A collaboration grounded in listening, proximity, and co-creation, which made it possible to transform the founders’ vision into an authentic, contemporary visual narrative deeply connected to Lake Maggiore.

Today Lab24 presents itself as a structured reality, with a clear identity and communication that highlights its artisanal soul.

Result
The number 24, the street number where everything began, becomes an essential and meaningful pictogram: a distinctive, self-sufficient element within the brand’s communication system.
The chosen typeface, with its soft and rounded lines, evokes the smoothness and body of the beer, while the blue recalls Lake Maggiore and the acid green references the tones of malt and hops. The result is a bold and coherent image, aligned with the founders’ concrete and determined spirit.
The color palette reinforces the personality of the three beers: Leone adopts the corporate colors as it represents the symbol of the city of Cannobio; Giove recalls the sunsets over the lake; Orrido evokes the energy of the surrounding mountains.
