The Project
The theme “Pathscrossing – Traiettorie Incrociate” explored the convergence of different artistic languages and the creative cross-pollination of genres.
The visual challenge was to reinvent the festival’s image by breaking away from previous graphic traditions through bold use of color, experimental typography, and distinctive print techniques.

The Solution
We developed a concept inspired by intersection and movement, using dynamic crossing lines to represent the fusion of artistic disciplines and the circulation of ideas.
The visual identity stood out for:
Neon colors, vibrant and disruptive compared to past palettes—designed to attract attention and convey energy.
A custom Pantone shade, chosen to amplify visual impact and give the printed materials a unique and recognizable look.
A refined printing approach, featuring uncoated textured paper to emphasize tactility and elevate the sensorial experience of the physical materials.

Visual
The symbolic image of the 2018 edition was created by renowned Turin-based artist duo Botto & Bruno. Known for their melancholic, dreamlike urban scenarios, they interpreted the festival’s concept through a powerful collage—an artwork born from a meticulous manual process of photographic manipulation.
Their contribution brought an additional layer of meaning to the visual communication, transforming it into a true artistic experience that reflected the fusion of different creative languages and the evocative power of music.

Applications
The concept was applied across all communication materials, with special attention to print enhancement:
Event programs and catalogs with macro details to highlight the paper’s texture.
Posters and promotional materials with neon tones in high contrast against neutral backgrounds.
Black-and-white mockups designed to amplify the vibrancy and impact of the printed colors.
Digital content for social media and the festival website, maintaining consistency with the tactile identity of the print assets.
